Nintendo has filed a patent for achievement recording and sharing. In theory, this patent would also allow users to share gameplay leading up to the achievement, and would allow players to attach messages to these achievements in a manner similar to Miiverse.
As many of our readers know, a patent does not necessarily mean that this idea will ever come into fruition. It is possible that this idea is never formally released, or it is probably that this idea will be utilized in Nintendo’s new service set to launch this fall.
We will keep you updated on this developing news story.
