Chatter around the scene, is that the Wii U's common key has been released, i cannot post the key here as Nintendo would be rather pissed off, here is an blurred version of what it looks like:
Many devs from the PS3 and Wii U scene's have confirmed that this key is indeed legit.
What does this mean ?
Good news = No more horrible ODDE's
Bad news = Piracy

That's one hell of a blurred key. So these keys will lead to homebrew somehow? I noticed you didn't put that in the pro's. The system that I genuinely used homebrew and other 3rd party development had to be the Wii, second the PSP. It would be exciting if a homebrew channel appeared soon. As far as piracy goes I'd imagine that was bound to happen anyways with the ODDE's and the fact they have been dumping games for over a year.
But once people start customizing their wiiu's, didn't it receive an update lately that will will really screw your wiiu over if they find out you've been screwing with it?

its always nice to read news on the wii u scene,i supose this is good/great news that its finally getting somewhere but honestly,if this does lead to back ups being played,i really dont know if i will go ahead with it,yeah sure getting my ps3 done was the best thing i ever did with it but im just not sure with the wii u,i hate online game play and stear clear of it when i can but i like having a console that i dont have to worry about it being blocked, banned, bricked ect.

nope even more, you can read public on twitter. check conversation of @comex with @gamsehack_. And gameshack_ isn't even a "real" developer like some one else. but that also apply for harryoke

and marcan screams out on CCC and twitter that Homebrew is dead. Yes but that is also todo him. cause he could have changed it. and what they did ? share the WII U common key with normal user's.
don't missunderstand, i dono have a Wii U, nor that i will buy one now, also i won't code in past nor in future something for the Wii U. so what i say is NOT to do "no one shared the key with me" which some dude that read that may will think.
i dono care about the Wii U.
But really face the whole Story. He tell's about that HB is dead cause everyone is only interested in piracy. He won't release something in public. He also won't start a Open Source SDK. Cause everything is fucked up. (which he could changed that all, even without to write a "own open source sdk") And then he share the key to normal user's ?
Is it only me or....?

Writing homebrew or porting homebrew from original PPC homebrew is a difference. For example E-UAE was written for PPC Mac's and is ported to the PS3...
Marcan should complain about $ony their "we sell something and take parts of it away later" behavior. That was the only reason the PS3 got hacked to the absolute point. Before that we could us OtherOS to mess with some homebrew, sadly without the abbility to use the RSX but we could run something....
For me I am very happen with the release of the key, I still want a console to run AmigaOS 4.1 (PPC) in my living room, and the Wii-U is the perfect candidate as it has a ATI graphics card unlike the PS3
